Matthew 16:13-20

You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi he put this question to his disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say he is John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ ‘But you,’ he said ‘who do you say I am?’ Then Simon Peter spoke up, ‘You are the Christ,’ he said, ‘the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Simon son of Jonah, you are a happy man! Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my Father in heaven. So I now say to you: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church. And the gates of the underworld can never hold out against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth shall be considered loosed in heaven.’ Then he gave the disciples strict orders not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

   While we are listening to the today's Gospel, we may have a feeling that Jesus surprised His own Apostles.  He asked His disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

 

But the second question which Jesus asked was even more surprising. “Who do you say I am?” Although the Apostles knew Jesus for a long time and knew His mission, that question had a deeper meaning. Nowadays Jesus also asks as: Who am I for you as a God? As a God who loves you. It is a question about our spiritual life. 

 

God wants to hear our personal confession which will come deep from our hearts. It is not enough to say, I am a Christian. We should ask ourselves a question what it means to be a Christian.

 

Do I devote my life to God? Every aspect of my life and not only those that are easy to devote?

 

Saint Thomas More who defended Catholic faith in England in the XVII Century said before his death: " I die the king's faithful servant, but God's first."

 

But this sentence of Jesus contains another question, while he is telling Peter, you are the Rock, and upon this Rock, I will build my Church. This about my relationship to the Church, the Mystical Body of Christ. This question is legitimate, because a great amount of people refuses it, saying; I believe in God, but the Church is not needed, this the only human institution, which is weak and full of iniquities.

 

Jesus says, I will build my Church, this the will of the Saviour, to continue in the community of God on earth. We profess every Sunday: I believe in one, holy, catholic, apostolic Church, so how can some people refuse of what has been established by God?

 

To be a good servant of Jesus means to devote the whole life to Him and his Church. It means to be the witness of God in every aspect of one’s life.

 

Jesus Christ, my Lord, I want to devote my whole life to You . 

 

(Mt 16, 13-20) 
Gdy Jezus przyszedł w okolice Cezarei Filipowej, pytał swych uczniów: "Za kogo ludzie uważają Syna Człowieczego?" A oni odpowiedzieli: "Jedni za Jana Chrzciciela, inni za Eliasza, jeszcze inni za Jeremiasza albo za jednego z proroków". Jezus zapytał ich: "A wy za kogo Mnie uważacie?" Odpowiedział Szymon Piotr: "Ty jesteś Mesjasz, Syn Boga żywego". Na to Jezus mu rzekł: "Błogosławiony jesteś, Szymonie, synu Jony. Albowiem nie objawiły ci tego ciało i krew, lecz Ojciec mój, który jest w niebie. Otóż i Ja tobie powiadam: Ty jesteś Piotr, czyli Opoka, i na tej opoce zbuduję Kościół mój, a bramy piekielne go nie przemogą. I tobie dam klucze królestwa niebieskiego; cokolwiek zwiążesz na ziemi, będzie związane w niebie, a co rozwiążesz na ziemi, będzie rozwiązane w niebie". Wtedy surowo zabronił uczniom, aby nikomu nie mówili, że On jest Mesjaszem.

    Słuchając dzisiejszej Ewangelii, możemy mieć wrażenie, że Jezus zaskoczył swoich Apostołów. Zapytał swoich uczniów: „Za kogo ludzie uważają Syna Człowieczego?” Odpowiedź brzmiała: „Niektórzy twierdzą, że jesteś Janem Chrzcicielem; inni mówią: Eliaszem; a jeszcze inni: Jeremiaszem lub któryś z proroków”.

 

Drugie pytanie, które zadał Jezus, było jeszcze bardziej zaskakujące. „Za kogo mnie uważasz?” Choć Apostołowie znali Jezusa od dawna i znali Jego misję, to pytanie to miało głębszy sens. Dziś Jezus zadaje także pytanie nam: Kim jestem dla was jako Bóg? Jako Bóg, który Cię kocha. Jest to pytanie o nasze życie duchowe.

 

Chrystus chce usłyszeć naszą osobistą odpowiedź, która wypływa z głębi naszego serca. Nie wystarczy powiedzieć: jestem chrześcijaninem. Powinniśmy zadać sobie pytanie, co to znaczy być wierzącym.

 

Czy poświęcam swoje życie Bogu? Każdy aspekt mojego życia, a nie tylko ten, który jest łatwy do poświęcenia?

 

Św. Tomasz More, który w XVII wieku bronił wiary katolickiej w Anglii, powiedział przed śmiercią: „Umieram jako wierny przyjaciel króla, ale przede wszystkim jako sługa Boży”.

 

Ewangelia zawiera inne pytanie Jezusa, gdy mówi Piotrowi: Ty jesteś Skałą i na tej Skale zbuduję mój Kościół. Chodzi o moją relację do Kościoła, Mistycznym Ciałem Chrystusa. To pytanie jest uzasadnione, ponieważ duża liczba osób odrzuca Wspólnotę wierzących, mówiąc; wierzę w Boga, ale Kościół nie jest mi potrzebny, to jedyna instytucja ludzka, która jest słaba i pełna niegodziwości.

 

Jezus mówi: zbuduję mój Kościół, taka jest wola Zbawiciela, aby trwać we wspólnocie Bożej na ziemi. W każdą niedzielę wyznajemy: Wierzę w jeden, święty, powszechny, apostolski Kościół, więc jak można odrzucić to, co zostało ustanowione przez Boga?

 

Być dobrym sługą Jezusa oznacza poświęcić całe życie Jemu i Jego Kościołowi. Oznacza to bycie świadkiem Boga w każdym aspekcie życia.

 

Jezu Chryste, Panie mój, chcę Ci poświęcić całe moje życie.

Humbleness... Pokora...

 

Matthew 15:21-28

The Canaanite woman debates with Jesus and saves her daughter

Jesus left Gennesaret and withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. Then out came a Canaanite woman from that district and started shouting, ‘Sir, Son of David, take pity on me. My daughter is tormented by a devil.’ But he answered her not a word. And his disciples went and pleaded with him. ‘Give her what she wants,’ they said ‘because she is shouting after us.’ He said in reply, ‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.’ But the woman had come up and was kneeling at his feet. ‘Lord,’ she said ‘help me.’ He replied, ‘It is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the house-dogs.’ She retorted, ‘Ah yes, sir; but even house-dogs can eat the scraps that fall from their master’s table.’ Then Jesus answered her, ‘Woman, you have great faith. Let your wish be granted.’ And from that moment her daughter was well again.

    While we are reading today’s Gospel it seems to us that Jesus was indifferent to the woman from Sidon. For Jews it was understandable because they considered them to be aliens. People that are not as valuable as Jews.

 

But Jesus used this case to show that what really matters is not where do you come from. Whether you are a foreigner or not. What really matters is your faith. It was a test for the Sidonian woman which revealed her great determination and trust. 

 

Today we live in a world which demands a lot of love and compassion. 

 

Christ is merciful and gentle, but He never accepts pride and demands. He loves humility. Why? Because a humble heart can help us to get much more than just material goods.

 

Sometimes we meet the people, who have decided to be able to achieve a solution and on demand, taking for granted, if they cannot to achieve it, they get angry and aggressive to us, who cannot help.

 

The same situation may happen in referring to our spiritual life, if we do not achieve of what we have asked God, many of us get offended with God saying, I have prayed for so long and not results. 

The woman from the Gospel was humble, asking with faith, even though she was pagan, but she did it with a humble heart. 

 

   

 

God is rich in mercy and grace. We must prepare our hearts for Him. That is an explanation why our Lord sometimes makes us wait long to fulfill our dreams. He knows what is best for us.

Jesus, gentle and humble of heart. Touch our hearts.

And made them like your own. The heart full of humility and love.

(Mt 15, 21-28) 
Jezus podążył w okolice Tyru i Sydonu. A oto kobieta kananejska, wyszedłszy z tamtych stron, wołała: "Ulituj się nade mną, Panie, Synu Dawida! Moja córka jest ciężko nękana przez złego ducha". Lecz On nie odezwał się do niej ani słowem. Na to podeszli Jego uczniowie i prosili Go: "Odpraw ją, bo krzyczy za nami". Lecz On odpowiedział: "Jestem posłany tylko do owiec, które poginęły z domu Izraela". A ona przyszła, padła Mu do nóg i prosiła: "Panie, dopomóż mi". On jednak odparł: "Niedobrze jest zabierać chleb dzieciom, a rzucać szczeniętom". A ona odrzekła: "Tak, Panie, lecz i szczenięta jedzą okruchy, które spadają ze stołu ich panów". Wtedy Jezus jej odpowiedział: "O niewiasto, wielka jest twoja wiara; niech ci się stanie, jak pragniesz!" Od tej chwili jej córka była zdrowa.

   Czytając dzisiejszą Ewangelię wydaje nam się, że Jezus był obojętny wobec kobiety z Sydonu. Dla Żydów było to zrozumiałe, ponieważ uważali ich za obcych. Ludzie, którzy nie byli tak wartościowi jak Żydzi.

 

Jezus posłużył się tym przykładem, by pokazać, że tak naprawdę nie liczy się to, skąd pochodzisz. Niezależnie od tego, czy jesteś obcokrajowcem, czy nie. To, co naprawdę się liczy, to twoja wiara. Była to próba dla kobiety z Sydonu, która ujawniła swoją wielką determinację i ufność.

 

Dziś żyjemy w świecie, który wymaga dużo miłości i współczucia.

 

Chrystus jest miłosierny i łagodny, ale nigdy nie akceptuje pychy i żądań. Uwielbia pokorę. Dlaczego? Ponieważ pokorne serce może nam pomóc zdobyć znacznie więcej niż tylko dobra materialne.

 

Czasami spotykamy ludzi, którzy postanowili, że uda im się osiągnąć cel, biorąc to za pewnik,  a jeśli nie mogą tego osiągnąć, złoszczą się i stają się agresywni. 

 

Taka sama sytuacja może mieć miejsce w odniesieniu do naszego życia duchowego, jeśli nie osiągniemy tego, o co prosiliśmy Boga, wielu z nas obraża się na Boga mówiąc, że tak długo się modliłem i nie ma rezultatów.

Kobieta z Ewangelii była pokorna, prosiła z wiarą, mimo że była poganką, ale czyniła to z pokornym sercem.

 

   

 

Bóg jest bogaty w miłosierdzie i łaskę. Musimy przygotować dla Niego nasze serca. To jest wyjaśnienie, dlaczego nasz Pan czasami każe nam długo czekać na spełnienie naszych próśb. On wie, co jest dla nas najlepsze.

 

Jezu cichy i pokornego serca, dotknij naszych serc

I uczynił je jak własne. Serce pełne pokory i miłości.

The Mary's Assumption...

 

Luke 1:39-56

The Almighty has done great things for me

Mary set out and went as quickly as she could to a town in the hill country of Judah. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. Now as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? For the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’

  And Mary said:

‘My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord

and my spirit exults in God my saviour;

because he has looked upon his lowly handmaid.

Yes, from this day forward all generations will call me blessed,

for the Almighty has done great things for me.

Holy is his name,

and his mercy reaches from age to age for those who fear him.

He has shown the power of his arm,

he has routed the proud of heart.

He has pulled down princes from their thrones and exalted the lowly.

The hungry he has filled with good things, the rich sent empty away.

He has come to the help of Israel his servant, mindful of his mercy

– according to the promise he made to our ancestors –

of his mercy to Abraham and to his descendants for ever.’

Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back home.

   Today, with the Mother of Church, we celebrate one of the most important Feast of our Faith, The Assumption of Our Lady Mary. Pope Pius XII in A.D. 1950 promulgated the youngest Dogma of the Catholic Church – that Mary, after her death, was taken with her body and soul to heaven. This truth presents our belief: our Mother thanks to Jesus’ merits was united with the Son in His Kingdom. As the Mother of Jesus, she was granted eternal life. 

 

This Solemnity encourages us to look at Mary as the witness of God. Certainly, Mary is not focused on her own, but she points at Jesus as our Lord. 

 

What is Mary telling us? First, she gave birth to Jesus and cared for her. The scene for Nazareth shows her marvelous confidence. She had no certainty but said “yes”: “thy will be done”. That situation completely changed her life and the life of Saint Joseph, but she believed in what the angel said, and she trusted in God. That was the most important for her. We say, Mary is full of grace, it means, she allowed to be possessed by God in 100%. 

 

Her biggest concern was to take care of our Savior. Apart from that, Mary teaches us unconditional agreement to the God’s will. She shows how we should submit our life and plans to God, what is not easy, but necessary if we treat my spiritual life serious.  One of the catholic authors wrote in his book, if we give to God a 30 % of our life, Jesus never disappears to possess us in 100%. This is the real attitude of what Mary is teaching us. 

 

Moreover, Mary in heaven is the ambassador of every person. We believe in her special position in the plan of Salvation. Our Lady is next to Christ, she supports us in our intentions. Devotion leads to Jesus, through the support of Mary. She is our powerful supporter. 

 

In the Gospel we read that Mary visited Elizabeth who became pregnant. Mary was also expecting a baby, but her sense of love and help caused that she travelled 100 km to meet with the woman in need. 

 

It is the lesson of love and sensitivity. 

 

Let’s turn our sigh to Mary and pray trough her intercession. Let’s believe in her help and love. 

 

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us. Amen.

 

  

(Mt 14,22-33) 
Gdy tłum został nasycony, zaraz Jezus przynaglił uczniów, żeby wsiedli do łodzi i wyprzedzili Go na drugi brzeg, zanim odprawi tłumy. Gdy to uczynił, wyszedł sam jeden na górę, aby się modlić. Wieczór zapadł, a On sam tam przebywał. Łódź zaś była już sporo stadiów oddalona od brzegu, miotana falami, bo wiatr był przeciwny. Lecz o czwartej straży nocnej przyszedł do nich, krocząc po jeziorze. Uczniowie, zobaczywszy Go kroczącego po jeziorze, zlękli się myśląc, że to zjawa, i ze strachu krzyknęli. Jezus zaraz przemówił do nich: Odwagi! Ja jestem, nie bójcie się! Na to odezwał się Piotr: Panie, jeśli to Ty jesteś, każ mi przyjść do siebie po wodzie! A On rzekł: Przyjdź! Piotr wyszedł z łodzi, i krocząc po wodzie, przyszedł do Jezusa. Lecz na widok silnego wiatru uląkł się i gdy zaczął tonąć, krzyknął: Panie, ratuj mnie! Jezus natychmiast wyciągnął rękę i chwycił go, mówiąc: Czemu zwątpiłeś, małej wiary? Gdy wsiedli do łodzi, wiatr się uciszył. Ci zaś, którzy byli w łodzi, upadli przed Nim, mówiąc: Prawdziwie jesteś Synem Bożym.

XIX Niedziela Zwykła, Rok A. Mt 14,22-33. 2023. 

 

 

Dziś słowo Pana przedstawia dwie osoby, które przetrwały wyzwanie wiary. W pierwszym czytaniu z Pierwszej Księgi Królewskiej widzimy proroka Eliasza, który był prześladowany przez króla Izraela i jego żonę za właściwe oddanie się Bogu. Społeczeństwo żydowskie okazało się nieposłuszne, wybierając religię pogańską.

 

Autor pierwszego czytania ukazuje sytuację, w której Eliasz ukrywa się przed wrogami.  W pewnym momencie nadeszły klęski żywiołowe, wiatr, ogień i trzęsienie ziemi. Prorok myślał; Pan jest w nich. Ale Bóg był w łagodnym wietrze, który przyszedł, aby wzmocnić wiarę i gorliwość Eliasza, aby walczyć o prawdziwy związek z Bogiem w społeczności żydowskiej. Obecność Boga dodała mu otuchy w tym trudnym czasie.

 

Ewangelia Mateusza przenosi nas nad Jezioro Galilejskie, Jezus po modlitwie wracał do łodzi, idąc po wodzie, co było sprzeczne z zasadą grawitacji. Apostołowie przestraszyli się, myśląc, że to zjawa. Ale Jezus mówi: nie bójcie się, to ja.

Cała sytuacja zachęcała Piotra, aby uczynił to samo, prosząc Pana: pozwól mi przyjść do ciebie. Jezus powiedział przyjdź. Wszystko byłoby dobrze, gdyby nie kryzys wiary. W końcu Piotr zaczął tonąć, wołając do Chrystusa, pomóż mi. Okazał się człowiekiem małej wiary, polegającym w 100% na sobie, a nie na Jezusie.

 

Historie dwojga ludzi są „zwierciadłem” nas samych. Jesteśmy tacy sami, mający wiele rozterek, kryzysy wiary i rozproszenie. Jezus przychodzi do nas, aby nas umocnić, mówiąc: nie lękajcie się, Ja jestem z wami. Nie wahaj się iść ze mną po „wodzie” swojego życia, po „cienkiej” tafli lodu”, zaufaj mi.

 

Dar wiary został nam dany, aby zrozumieć, że w moim życiu zawsze jest wyjście. Niemal codziennie słyszymy historie różnych osób, które mówią, że bez Boga, wiary, modlitwy, nigdy nie dałyby sobie rady w życiu, obecność Boga bardzo im pomaga. Komunia Święta, niedzielna Msza św., różaniec jest jak „wzmacniacz” dla mojej wiary i pewności, że ktoś jest ze mną.

 

Eliasz i Piotr choć byli ludźmi strachu, zachęcają nas, byśmy zaufali Panu, On chce przyjść do mojego serca, pielęgnując moją wiarę i usuwając mój niepokój. Amen.

The Presence of God... Obecność Boga...

 

Matthew 17:1-9

His face shone like the sun

Jesus took with him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain where they could be alone. There in their presence he was transfigured: his face shone like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light. Suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared to them; they were talking with him. Then Peter spoke to Jesus. ‘Lord,’ he said ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; if you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He was still speaking when suddenly a bright cloud covered them with shadow, and from the cloud there came a voice which said, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. Listen to him.’ When they heard this the disciples fell on their faces, overcome with fear. But Jesus came up and touched them. ‘Stand up,’ he said ‘do not be afraid.’ And when they raised their eyes they saw no one but only Jesus.

  As they came down from the mountain Jesus gave them this order, ‘Tell no one about the vision until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.’

   Thanks to the Gospel according to Matthew we are witnesses of the Transfiguration. It happened about 30 km from Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus, on the Tabor Mountain. 

 

Christ took there His three disciples: Peter, John and James, because His desire was to strengthen their faith and overcome fear and disappointment that could arise because of the crucifixion.  

 

These three Apostles heard that Jesus is the real Son of God: "This is my Beloved Son". But one sentence deserves our special attention. Peter said: "It is wonderful for us to be here.” 

 

Probably these words came from Peter's fear and impression at the same time. And they are very important to understand today’s Gospel.

 

In the Book of Deuteronomy we may read: "And indeed, what great nation has its gods as near as Yahweh our God is to us whenever we call to him?" Deuteronomy 4,7.

 

This is the point; our God is not far, but He is with us. Every Mass starts with a priest's words: "the Lord be with you". Christianity emphasises that Christ is very close to us, almighty, powerful and real God. Our congregation testifies about the presence of Jesus among us, we gather in his name.

 

We are invited to be with Him. We should not treat meetings with God as a duty, but privilege.  

 

Very often people treat the time for God as obligatory. They devote 5, 10 maybe 30 minutes (during Sunday's Mass) and no more than that, saying; I gave Him my time, so now I am fine. But our relationship with God should be like a relationship between a father and a child.

 

The history knows many cases when people devoted their whole life to God, like for example Saint Anthony Eremite.

 

I remember couple years ago; in the hospital chapel we had the 24^- Hours Adoration for the Lord. On that day I came to pray, to be in the front of the Blessed Sacrament. In my mind appeared a thought, what I am doing for now, this is about the truth of heaven,  the permanent presence, but not in the front the Blessed sacrament, but before the living God himself. 

 

Every prayer, every Mass, and every time we adore the Blessed Sacrament, we are close to God. We are close to Him because of love, not of duty.

 

Time which is offered God is never lost. Amen.

 

 

 

(Mt 17,1-9) 
Jezus wziął z sobą Piotra, Jakuba i brata jego Jana i zaprowadził ich na górę wysoką, osobno. Tam przemienił się wobec nich: twarz Jego zajaśniała jak słońce, odzienie zaś stało się białe jak światło. A oto im się ukazali Mojżesz i Eliasz, którzy rozmawiali z Nim. Wtedy Piotr rzekł do Jezusa: Panie, dobrze, że tu jesteśmy; jeśli chcesz, postawię tu trzy namioty: jeden dla Ciebie, jeden dla Mojżesza i jeden dla Eliasza. Gdy on jeszcze mówił, oto obłok świetlany osłonił ich, a z obłoku odezwał się głos: To jest mój Syn umiłowany, w którym mam upodobanie, Jego słuchajcie! Uczniowie, słysząc to, upadli na twarz i bardzo się zlękli. A Jezus zbliżył się do nich, dotknął ich i rzekł: Wstańcie, nie lękajcie się! Gdy podnieśli oczy, nikogo nie widzieli, tylko samego Jezusa. A gdy schodzili z góry, Jezus przykazał im mówiąc: Nie opowiadajcie nikomu o tym widzeniu, aż Syn Człowieczy zmartwychwstanie.

   Dzięki Ewangelii według Mateusza jesteśmy świadkami Przemienienia Pańskiego. Stało się to około 30 km od Nazaretu, rodzinnego miasta Jezusa, na górze Tabor.

 

Chrystus zabrał tam swoich trzech uczniów: Piotra, Jana i Jakuba, ponieważ Jego pragnieniem było umocnienie ich wiary i przezwyciężenie lęku i rozczarowania, które mogły powstać z powodu ukrzyżowania.

 

Ci trzej Apostołowie usłyszeli, że Jezus jest prawdziwym Synem Bożym: „To jest mój Syn umiłowany. Szczególnie jedno zdanie z Ewangelii zasługuje na naszą szczególną uwagę. Piotr powiedział: „To wspaniale, że tu jesteśmy”.

 

Prawdopodobnie słowa te wynikały ze strachu i wrażenia Piotra jednocześnie. Są one bardzo ważne dla zrozumienia dzisiejszej Ewangelii.

 

W Księdze Powtórzonego Prawa możemy przeczytać: „Bo któryż naród wielki ma bogów tak bliskich, jak Pan, Bóg nasz, ilekroć Go wzywamy?” Powtórzonego Prawa 4,7.

 

Nasz Bóg nie jest daleko, ale jest z nami. Każda Msza rozpoczyna się słowami kapłana: „Pan z wami”. Chrześcijaństwo podkreśla, że Chrystus jest nam bardzo bliski, Bóg wszechmogący, potężny i prawdziwy. Nasze zgromadzenie świadczy o obecności Jezusa wśród nas, gdy gromadzimy się w Jego imię.

 

Jesteśmy zaproszeni do bycia z Nim. Nie powinniśmy traktować spotkań z Bogiem jako obowiązku, ale jako przywilej.

 

Bardzo często ludzie traktują czas dla Boga jako obowiązek. Poświęcają 5, 10 może 30 minut (podczas niedzielnej Mszy św.) i nie więcej, mówiąc; oddałem Jemu swój czas, więc teraz jest dobrze. Nasza relacja z Bogiem powinna być jak relacja między ojcem a dzieckiem.

 

Historia zna wiele przypadków, kiedy ludzie całe swoje życie poświęcili Bogu, jak na przykład św. Antoni Eremita.

 

Pamiętam kilka lat temu; w kaplicy szpitalnej mieliśmy całodobową Adorację Najświętszego Sakramentu. Tego dnia przyszedłem się pomodlić, aby stanąć przed Najświętszym Sakramentem. W mojej głowie pojawiła się myśl, teraz  co robię, świadczy o prawdzie nieba, o stałej obecności, ale nie przed Najświętszym Sakramentem, ale przed samym żywym Bogiem.

 

W każdej modlitwie, w każdej Mszy Świętej i w każdej adoracji Najświętszego Sakramentu jesteśmy blisko Boga. Jesteśmy blisko Niego z miłości, a nie z obowiązku.

 

Czas ofiarowany Bogu nigdy nie jest stracony. Amen.
