Mark 13:24-32

The stars will fall from heaven and the powers in the heavens will be shaken

Jesus said to his disciples: ‘In those days, after the time of distress, the sun will be darkened, the moon will lose its brightness, the stars will come falling from heaven and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory; then too he will send the angels to gather his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the world to the ends of heaven.

  ‘Take the fig tree as a parable: as soon as its twigs grow supple and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. So with you when you see these things happening: know that he is near, at the very gates. I tell you solemnly, before this generation has passed away all these things will have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

  ‘But as for that day or hour, nobody knows it, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son; no one but the Father.’

   Jesus Christ tells us about the vision of the end-times of this world. But Today's Gospel according to Mark is written in the context of our daily life and the present days. Jesus Christ's words indicate our life, now and here, in the XXI century. The Son of God promises that the end-times will precede His Second coming. 

 

For sure, such time will come. God is calling us, He says I exist, I am alive, and I am not dead. 

It seems to be very strange, what does God say about this? 

 

His call is a reaction to the modern world, which got rid of God. Many People renounce faith, and they say that God is dead.

 

But God says, I am present among you. This cruel vision from today's Gospel wants to wake us up from spiritual lethargy, "my child, repent, and come back to me". 

 

We live in the Christian society, but we often forget about God’s commandments.

 

We want happiness for the world, but it is impossible without God. Fredric Nietzsche (a German Philosopher) said that religion is opium for the people. He announced  the death of God. But God says, my children, wake up, and come back to me. Create your happiness on God's foundation. From the viewpoint of science, we can do something more, our abilities are bigger.

 

Despite that, we still have emptiness in our mind and heart. We are trying to achieve something, we struggle, but we still feel emptiness. Why? Because very often our vision is built on our own will, without God and His commandments. 

 

The God's call is very strong, especially today, and His question is: Haven’t you lost the main sense of your life? God gives us a lot of signs about His presence. Over the years, two Eucharistic Miracles happened in Poland. In 2008 (Sokółka) and 2013 (Legnica), the hosts, which fell on the floor, were put into water. On the next day, these hosts have started to bleed and became red. 

 

The Medical Commission conducted the test of them, and in both cases it turned out that the bleeding hosts were fragmented parts of the cross-striated muscle. The muscle of Jesus Christ’s Heart, who is dying on the Cross. 

 

These miracles are the next proof of existence of God. Jesus Christ is calling, I am still alive, I remember about my people, my Kingdom will come. 

 

What will we do with this message? It depends on us. Amen.

Jezus powiedział do swoich uczniów: „W owe dni, po wielkim ucisku słońce się zaćmi i księżyc nie da swego blasku. Gwiazdy będą padać z nieba i moce na niebie zostaną wstrząśnięte. Wówczas ujrzą Syna Człowieczego, przychodzącego w obłokach z wielką mocą i chwałą. Wtedy pośle On aniołów i zbierze swoich wybranych z czterech stron świata, od krańca ziemi aż do szczytu nieba. A od drzewa figowego uczcie się przez podobieństwo. Kiedy już jego gałąź nabiera soków i wypuszcza liście, poznajecie, że blisko jest lato. Tak i wy, gdy ujrzycie, że to się dzieje, wiedzcie, że blisko jest, we drzwiach. Zaprawdę powiadam wam: Nie przeminie to pokolenie, aż się to wszystko stanie. Niebo i ziemia przeminą, ale moje słowa nie przeminą. Lecz o dniu owym lub godzinie nikt nie wie, ani aniołowie w niebie, ani Syn, tylko Ojciec”.

   Jezus Chrystus mówi nam o wizji czasów ostatecznych tego świata. Niemniej Dzisiejsza Ewangelia według Marka jest napisana w kontekście naszego codziennego życia i teraźniejszości. Słowa Jezusa Chrystusa wskazują na nasze życie, teraz i tutaj, w XXI wieku. Syn Boży obiecuje, że czasy ostateczne poprzedzą Jego powtórne przyjście.

Na pewno taki czas nadejdzie. Bóg nas wzywa, mówi do nas, Ja istnieję, żyję i nie jestem martwy.

Wydaje się to bardzo dziwne, co Bóg do nas mówi?

Jego wezwanie jest reakcją na współczesny świat, który pozbył się Boga. Wielu ludzi wyrzeka się wiary i mówią, że Bóg umarł.

Ale Jezus mówi,  Ja jestem wśród was. Ta okrutna wizja z dzisiejszej Ewangelii chce nas obudzić z duchowego letargu, „ Moje dziecko, pokutuj i wróć do mnie”.

Żyjemy w społeczeństwie chrześcijańskim, ale często zapominamy o przykazaniach Bożych.

Chcemy szczęścia dla świata, ale bez Boga jest to niemożliwe. Fredric Nietzsche (niemiecki filozof) powiedział, że religia jest dla ludzi opium. Zapowiedział on śmierć Boga. Chrystus mówi, moje dzieci, obudźcie się i wróćcie do mnie. Buduj swoje szczęście na fundamencie Bożym. Z naukowego punktu widzenia możemy zrobić coś więcej, nasze możliwości są większe. Mimo to wciąż mamy pustkę w naszym umyśle i sercu. Próbujemy coś osiągnąć, walczymy, ale wciąż czujemy pustkę. Czemu? Ponieważ bardzo często nasza wizja jest budowana z naszej własnej woli, bez Boga i Jego przykazań.

Boże wezwanie jest bardzo silne, szczególnie dzisiaj, a Jego pytanie brzmi: czy nie straciłeś głównego sensu swojego życia? Bóg daje nam wiele znaków o swojej obecności. Na przestrzeni lat w Polsce wydarzyły się dwa cuda eucharystyczne. W 2008 (Sokółka) i 2013 (Legnica) hostie, które spadły na podłogę, zostały umieszczone w  wodzie. Następnego Ciało Chrystusa zaczęło krwawić i stało się czerwone.

Komisja Lekarska przeprowadziła  badanie i w obu przypadkach okazało się, że krwawiąc hostie były rozdrobnionymi częściami mięśnia poprzecznie prążkowanego, mięsnia Serca Jezusa Chrystusa, który umiera na krzyżu.

Te cuda są kolejnym dowodem na istnienie Boga. Jezus Chrystus woła, Ja żyję, pamiętam o moim ludu, a kiedyś nadejdzie moje Królestwo.

Co zrobimy z tym przesłaniem? To zależy od nas. Amen.
