Mark 7:1-8,​14-15,​21-23

You put aside the commandment of God, to cling to human traditions

The Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered round Jesus, and they noticed that some of his disciples were eating with unclean hands, that is, without washing them. For the Pharisees, and the Jews in general, follow the tradition of the elders and never eat without washing their arms as far as the elbow; and on returning from the market place they never eat without first sprinkling themselves. There are also many other observances which have been handed down to them concerning the washing of cups and pots and bronze dishes. So these Pharisees and scribes asked him, ‘Why do your disciples not respect the tradition of the elders but eat their food with unclean hands?’ He answered, ‘It was of you hypocrites that Isaiah so rightly prophesied in this passage of scripture:

This people honours me only with lip-service,

while their hearts are far from me.

The worship they offer me is worthless,

the doctrines they teach are only human regulations.

You put aside the commandment of God to cling to human traditions.’ He called the people to him again and said, ‘Listen to me, all of you, and understand. Nothing that goes into a man from outside can make him unclean; it is the things that come out of a man that make him unclean. For it is from within, from men’s hearts, that evil intentions emerge: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within and make a man unclean.’

    The Gospel according to Mark reports on the confrontation between Jesus and the Pharisees, those who charged Christ for losing tradition of the Elderly of Israel. During the conversation appears quite interesting conclusion of Jesus, you the chieves of Jews, you cling a lot of human regulation and reject the God’s commencements.   The purity of body, it is more reverent for you then the purity of heart. 

 

Jesus says, from the bottom of heart are taking all bad thought and deed of man.  

 

The teaching of Christ makes us aware, the central place of my decision and doing so, it is my spirit and mind, as the centre of freedom and human will. 

 

Last Sunday I pointed out the desire of God in us. Every human existence needs God, because we have been created to the image and likeness of him. Even more, trough the sacrament of baptism, you are the Temple of the Holy Trinity, and using the IT language, our soul and mind is programmed by God. We have the seal of God. 

 

Nature never likes emptiness, if God is there, all things are made in him. If there is not God, there is the ruling of instinct and non-limited desires. 

 

We are not supine men, controlling by God, but free people, who have free will and the recognition of mind. Our thoughts or deeds are the final fruits of my will. Where is not the healthy and living faith and the relationship to God, there is a place of some superstition, and the irrelevant practises, which takes place of Christian morality and commandments. This attitude has become idles, like the law of clean cup and dishes of the Pharisees.  Those people believe more in illusion of faith (to be superstition), that in the living God and his teaching. 

 

The catechize of Jesus teaches us about the responsibility about our decision. You are not determinate people, pushing to something, and out of my will. 

 

Today in this Gospel, we are invited to care of our sight, thoughts, and decision, because all these things, as I said, does have influences on my reactions and acts, in daily life. Today, it is very difficult, being bombarded by many adverts, unappropriated stuff, which is working in us. We are the unity of Body, soul, and psychology. Mind is like a sponge absorbing all instincts of sight, words, and imagination, which are pushing us to work. 

 

 Let us pray today for the purity of thoughts, sights, and desire, to be able to be resistant to everything, what makes me impure, and let follow God’s way. Amen.

U Jezusa zebrali się faryzeusze i kilku uczonych w Piśmie, którzy przybyli z Jerozolimy. I zauważyli, że niektórzy z Jego uczniów brali posiłek nieczystymi, to znaczy nieobmytymi rękami. Faryzeusze bowiem, i w ogóle Żydzi, trzymając się tradycji starszych, nie jedzą, jeśli sobie rąk nie obmyją, rozluźniając pięść. I gdy wrócą z rynku, nie jedzą, dopóki się nie obmyją. Jest jeszcze wiele innych zwyczajów, które przejęli i których przestrzegają, jak obmywanie kubków, dzbanków, naczyń miedzianych. Zapytali Go więc faryzeusze i uczeni w Piśmie: "Dlaczego Twoi uczniowie nie postępują według tradycji starszych, lecz jedzą nieczystymi rękami?" Odpowiedział im: "Słusznie prorok Izajasz powiedział o was, obłudnikach, jak jest napisane: „Ten lud czci Mnie wargami, lecz sercem swym daleko jest ode Mnie. Ale czci Mnie na próżno, ucząc zasad podanych przez ludzi”. Uchyliliście przykazanie Boże, a trzymacie się ludzkiej tradycji". Potem przywołał znowu tłum do siebie i rzekł do niego: "Słuchajcie Mnie, wszyscy, i zrozumcie! Nic nie wchodzi z zewnątrz w człowieka, co mogłoby uczynić go nieczystym; lecz to, co wychodzi z człowieka, to czyni człowieka nieczystym. Z wnętrza bowiem, z serca ludzkiego pochodzą złe myśli, nierząd, kradzieże, zabójstwa, cudzołóstwa, chciwość, przewrotność, podstęp, wyuzdanie, zazdrość, obelgi, pycha, głupota. Całe to zło z wnętrza pochodzi i czyni człowieka nieczystym".

    Ewangelia według Marka opisuje konfrontację Jezusa z faryzeuszami, którzy oskarżali Chrystusa o zatracenie tradycji Starszych Izraela. W trakcie rozmowy pojawia się dość ciekawa konkluzja Jezusa, wy, wodzowie Żydów, trzymacie się wielu ludzkich przepisów i odrzucacie zamysły Boże. Czystość ciała jest dla ciebie większą czcią niż czystość serca.

 

Jezus mówi, że z głębi serca należy usuwać wszelkie złe myśli i uczynki człowieka.

 

Nauczanie Chrystusa uświadamia nam, że centralnym miejscem mojej decyzji jest mój duch i umysł, jako ośrodek wolności i ludzkiej woli.

 

W ostatnią niedzielę ukazałem pragnienie Boga w nas. Każde istnienie ludzkie potrzebuje Boga, ponieważ zostaliśmy stworzeni na Jego obraz i podobieństwo. Co więcej, poprzez sakrament chrztu jesteście Świątynią Trójcy Świętej, a posługując się językiem IT, nasza dusza i umysł są programowane przez Boga. Mamy niezatary znak Boga w nas.

 

Natura nigdy nie lubi pustki, jeśli jest Bóg, wszystko w Nim się dzieje. Jeśli nie ma Boga, panuje instynkt i nieograniczone pragnienia.

 

Nie jesteśmy bezwolnymi ludźmi, kontrolowanymi przez Boga, ale istotami wolnymi, którzy mają wolną wolę i władzę umysłu. Nasze myśli i czyny są ostatecznymi owocami mojej woli. Tam, gdzie nie ma zdrowej i żywej wiary oraz relacji z Bogiem, jest miejsce na pewne przesądy i nieistotne praktyki, które zastępują chrześcijańską moralność i przykazania. Taka postawa staje się bezczynna, podobnie jak prawo faryzeuszy dotyczące czystych naczyń. Ci ludzie bardziej wierzą w iluzję wiary (będącą przesądem), niż w żywego Boga i Jego naukę.

 

Katechizacja Jezusa uczy nas odpowiedzialności za nasze decyzje. Nie jesteście zniewolonymi ludźmi, dążącymi do czegoś, wbrew mojej woli.

 

Dziś poprzez dzisiejszą Ewangelię jesteśmy zaproszeni, abyśmy dbali o nasz wzrok, myśli i decyzje, ponieważ to wszystko, jak powiedziałem, ma wpływ na moje reakcje i działania w codziennym życiu. Jest to bardzo trudne, bombardowani wieloma reklamami, nieprzyzwoitymi rzeczami, wpływają na nas. Jesteśmy jednością ciała, duszy i psychiki. Umysł jest jak gąbka wchłaniająca wszelkie oddziaływania wzroku, słów i wyobraźni, które popychają nas do podejmowania róznych decyzji.

 Módlmy się dzisiaj o czystość myśli, wzroku i pragnień, abyśmy mogli przeciwstawić się wszystkiemu, co  możec czynić nas nieczystym, i podążajmy drogą Bożą. Amen.
