To become, like a child.... Stać się jak dziecko...

 

Matthew 11:25-30

You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children

Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

  ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

   “I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children."

 

Why does Jesus compare the disciples to children? The Christ's tactics are very clear, the thinking and attitude of the child is very simple, honest, and devoid of lies. Sometimes, if we ask a child about something, we may notice the simplicity and accuracy of the answer.

 

We are so often irritable that we cannot understand God, God seems to so far and His teachings beyond our reach. Why? This question reaches the matter because I am imitating someone of what I am not. Very often a person wants to pretend to be a very intelligent person, a good and skilful philosopher before God, losing his true face. 

 

This way is quite popular and common, but devoid of a true experience of God. We want to treat God as an equal partner, but Jesus says, if you want to know my Father in truth, be like a child, simple, honest, trusting God.

 

 

We cannot be so intelligent as God is. His wisdom surpasses our mind. If a man wants to be like God, this leads to a perception of Christ that is completely contrary to the Gospel.

 

We need the clarity and simplicity of a child to receive the gift of Jesus in fully. The words of Christ leave no illusions, only people with humility can reach the Kingdom of God. Our Saviour says, “Let your speech be, yes, yes, no no. And what is more, it comes from the Evil One. Matthew 5:37.

 

Jesus Christ, make my heart and mind simple and humble. Amen.

W owym czasie Jezus przemówił tymi słowami: Wysławiam Cię, Ojcze, Panie nieba i ziemi, że zakryłeś te rzeczy przed mądrymi i roztropnymi, a objawiłeś je prostaczkom. Tak, Ojcze, gdyż takie było Twoje upodobanie. Wszystko przekazał Mi Ojciec mój. Nikt też nie zna Syna, tylko Ojciec, ani Ojca nikt nie zna, tylko Syn, i ten, komu Syn zechce objawić. Przyjdźcie do Mnie wszyscy, którzy utrudzeni i obciążeni jesteście, a Ja was pokrzepię. Weźcie moje jarzmo na siebie i uczcie się ode Mnie, bo jestem cichy i pokorny sercem, a znajdziecie ukojenie dla dusz waszych. Albowiem jarzmo moje jest słodkie, a moje brzemię lekkie.

   „Wysławiam Cię, Ojcze, Panie nieba i ziemi, że zakryłeś te rzeczy przed mądrymi i roztropnymi, a objawiłeś je prostaczkom. Tak, Ojcze, gdyż takie było Twoje upodobanie”.

 

Dlaczego Jezus porównuje uczniów do dzieci? Taktyka Chrystusa jest bardzo jasna, myślenie i postawa dziecka jest bardzo prosta, uczciwa i pozbawiona kłamstwa. Czasami, jeśli pytamy dziecko o coś, możemy zauważyć prostotę i dokładność odpowiedzi.

 

Tak często jesteśmy rozdrażnieni, że nie możemy zrozumieć Boga, wydaje nam się, że Bóg jest daleko, a jego nauczanie jest poza naszym zasięgiem. Czemu? To pytanie prowadzi nas do sedna, ponieważ naśladuję kogoś, kim nie jestem. Bardzo często człowiek chce udawać przed Bogiem bardzo inteligentną osobę, dobrego i zręcznego filozofa, tracąc prawdziwe oblicze. Wielu ludzi dąży do zmiany prawa Bożego w imię nowoczesności.

 

Ta droga jest dość popularna i powszechna, ale pozbawiona prawdziwego doświadczenia Boga. Chcemy traktować Boga jak partnera na równi, ale Jezus mówi, jeśli chcesz poznać mojego Ojca w prawdzie, bądź jak dziecko, proste, uczciwe, ufające Bogu.

 

 

Nie możemy być tak inteligentni jak Bóg.  Jego mądrość przewyższa nasz umysł. Jeśli człowiek chce być jak Bóg, to prowadzi do postrzegania Chrystusa, które jest całkowicie sprzeczne z Ewangelią.

 

Potrzebujemy przejrzystości i prostoty dziecka, aby otrzymać dar Jezusa w pełni. Słowa Chrystusa nie pozostawiają złudzeń, tylko ludzie z pokorą mogą osiągnąć Królestwo Boże. Nasz Zbawiciel mówi: „Niech wasza mowa będzie: Tak, tak; nie, nie. A co nadto jest, od Złego pochodzi”. Mt 5,37.

 

Jezu Chryste, uczyń moje serce i umysł prostym i pokornym. Amen.
