Good seed and ilusion of goodness.... Dobre ziarno i iluzja dobra...

 

Matthew 13:24-43

Let them both grow till the harvest

Jesus put another parable before the crowds: ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everybody was asleep his enemy came, sowed darnel all among the wheat, and made off. When the new wheat sprouted and ripened, the darnel appeared as well. The owner’s servants went to him and said, “Sir, was it not good seed that you sowed in your field? If so, where does the darnel come from?” “Some enemy has done this” he answered. And the servants said, “Do you want us to go and weed it out?” But he said, “No, because when you weed out the darnel you might pull up the wheat with it. Let them both grow till the harvest; and at harvest time I shall say to the reapers: First collect the darnel and tie it in bundles to be burnt, then gather the wheat into my barn.”’

  He put another parable before them: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the biggest shrub of all and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and shelter in its branches.’

  He told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like the yeast a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour till it was leavened all through.’

  In all this Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables; indeed, he would never speak to them except in parables. This was to fulfil the prophecy:

I will speak to you in parables

and expound things hidden since the foundation of the world.

Then, leaving the crowds, he went to the house; and his disciples came to him and said, ‘Explain the parable about the darnel in the field to us.’ He said in reply, ‘The sower of the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world; the good seed is the subjects of the kingdom; the darnel, the subjects of the evil one; the enemy who sowed them, the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; the reapers are the angels. Well then, just as the darnel is gathered up and burnt in the fire, so it will be at the end of time. The Son of Man will send his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that provoke offences and all who do evil, and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth. Then the virtuous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Listen, anyone who has ears!’

   The Gospel for the XVI Sunday of the Ordinary Time makes a challenge for the preachers, because it contains itself a lot of subjects and parables. To be honest, one of my scholar teachers used to say to us; you need to be consistence, choosing one topic, to make the sermon clear. 

 

 

Keeping the rule, I would like to indicate on the parable about the wheat and darnel. This story shows that human life is not so simple and transparent, having two colours white and black. The parable of Jesus makes us aware, whenever is happening goodness, the enemy seeds the darnel of evil. Today we see so clearly, when something positive is mixed with iniquities, a lot of confusions, which are held in the mask of goodness. The Devil wants to make us confused and tell us, everything is good, even something was concerned in the past of what something used to be unacceptable. Today so often it is difficult to find the truth and the real values, because we may be shouted down, we are not tolerant, limiting man’s freedom. 

 

The world wants to ravel of the voice of conscience, and after all the man cannot make a discernment in the between the positiveness and negativity. 

 

Therefore, Jesus in this parable teaches us, to pray for the right eye of conscience, to be able to recognize, which voice comes from God, and which from the enemy. We need to pray to the Holy Spirit for the recognition, and the right choice, to can break down the illusion of sin. 

 

It was a moment in the life of St. Faustina Kowalska, her confessor had gone, and in her heart did appear the thought to damage the Diary. She was convinced, God demanded from her to do that.

 

When her confessor was back, Faustina told him about the whole situation and feeling. He told her off, that she was not obedient to him, but the situation with the Diary was the devil temptation, who did not want to reveal God’s Mercy.  

 

 

This story shows, the lure of the enemy might be in the mask of goodness. 

 

Let us pray to God, and especially to the Holy Spirit for the mature conscience and recognition in our life. Amen.

Jezus opowiedział tłumom tę przypowieść: Królestwo niebieskie podobne jest do człowieka, który posiał dobre nasienie na swej roli. Lecz gdy ludzie spali, przyszedł jego nieprzyjaciel, nasiał chwastu między pszenicę i odszedł. A gdy zboże wyrosło i wypuściło kłosy, wtedy pojawił się i chwast. Słudzy gospodarza przyszli i zapytali go: Panie, czy nie posiałeś dobrego nasienia na swej roli? Skąd więc wziął się na niej chwast? Odpowiedział im: Nieprzyjazny człowiek to sprawił. Rzekli mu słudzy: Chcesz więc, żebyśmy poszli i zebrali go? A on im odrzekł: Nie, byście zbierając chwast nie wyrwali razem z nim i pszenicy. Pozwólcie obojgu róść aż do żniwa; a w czasie żniwa powiem żeńcom: Zbierzcie najpierw chwast i powiążcie go w snopki na spalenie; pszenicę zaś zwieźcie do mego spichlerza. Inną przypowieść im powiedział: Królestwo niebieskie podobne jest do ziarnka gorczycy, które ktoś wziął i posiał na swej roli. Jest ono najmniejsze ze wszystkich nasion, lecz gdy wyrośnie, jest większe od innych jarzyn i staje się drzewem, tak że ptaki przylatują z powietrza i gnieżdżą się na jego gałęziach. Powiedział im inną przypowieść: Królestwo niebieskie podobne jest do zaczynu, który pewna kobieta wzięła i włożyła w trzy miary mąki, aż się wszystko zakwasiło. To wszystko mówił Jezus tłumom w przypowieściach, a bez przypowieści nic im nie mówił. Tak miało się spełnić słowo Proroka: Otworzę usta w przypowieściach, wypowiem rzeczy ukryte od założenia świata. Wtedy odprawił tłumy i wrócił do domu. Tam przystąpili do Niego uczniowie i prosili Go: Wyjaśnij nam przypowieść o chwaście! On odpowiedział: Tym, który sieje dobre nasienie, jest Syn Człowieczy. Rolą jest świat, dobrym nasieniem są synowie królestwa, chwastem zaś synowie Złego. Nieprzyjacielem, który posiał chwast, jest diabeł; żniwem jest koniec świata, a żeńcami są aniołowie. Jak więc zbiera się chwast i spala ogniem, tak będzie przy końcu świata. Syn Człowieczy pośle aniołów swoich: ci zbiorą z Jego królestwa wszystkie zgorszenia i tych, którzy dopuszczają się nieprawości, i wrzucą ich w piec rozpalony; tam będzie płacz i zgrzytanie zębów. Wtedy sprawiedliwi jaśnieć będą jak słońce w królestwie Ojca swego. Kto ma uszy, niechaj słucha!

   Ewangelia na XVI Niedzielę Zwykłą stanowi wyzwanie dla kaznodziejów, ponieważ zawiera w sobie wiele tematów i przypowieści. Szczerze mówiąc, jeden z moich nauczycieli akademickich mawiał nam; trzeba być konsekwentnym, wybierając jeden temat, aby kazanie było jasne.

 

 

Zachowując regułę, chciałbym wskazać na przypowieści o pszenicy i kąkolu. Ta historia pokazuje, że ludzkie życie nie jest takie proste i przejrzyste, mając dwa kolory biały i czarny. Przypowieść Jezusa uświadamia nam, że tam, gdzie dzieje się dobro, wróg zasiewa kąkol zła. Dziś widzimy tak wyraźnie, gdy coś pozytywnego miesza się z nieprawościami, wiele zamieszania, które są trzymane w masce dobroci. Diabeł chce nas zdezorientować i powiedzieć, że wszystko jest dobrze. Dziś tak często trudno jest znaleźć prawdę i prawdziwe wartości, bo można nas zakrzyczeć, nie jesteśmy tolerancyjni, ograniczamy wolność człowieka.

 

Świat chce zachwiać głos sumienia, po to by człowiek nie potrafi rozróżnić ci jest dobre a co złe.

 

Dlatego Jezus w tej przypowieści uczy nas modlitwy o prawe oko sumienia, aby móc rozpoznać, który głos pochodzi od Boga, a który od wroga. Musimy modlić się do Ducha Świętego o właściwy wybór, aby móc przełamać iluzję grzechu.

 

Był taki moment w życiu św. Faustyny Kowalskiej, kiedy wyjechał jej spowiednik, w jej sercu pojawiła się myśl zniszczenia Dzienniczka. Była przekonana, Bóg tego od niej wymagał.

 

Kiedy spowiednik wrócił, Faustyna opowiedziała mu o całej sytuacji i uczuciach. Upomniał ją, że nie jest mu posłuszna. Sytuacja z Dziennikiem była kuszeniem diabła, który nie chciał objawić Miłosierdzia Bożego.

 

 

Ta historia pokazuje, że przynęta wroga może być w masce dobroci.

 

Módlmy się do Boga, a szczególnie do Ducha Świętego o dojrzałość sumienia i  moc rozeznawania w naszym życiu. Amen.
