Luke 9:28-36 |

Jesus is transfigured before them
On the Second Sunday of Lent, traditionally we go with Jesus and the Apostles, Peter, John, and James to the Mountain of Tabor. This place was outlying about 30 kilometers from Nazareth, of the domestic city of Christ.
The concept and context of this journey had one fundamental meaning. At that time, Jesus was still before his death and Pasion. The Apostles were in progress in their faith. The relationship to God was not stable and full of fear and fragility.
Jesus took the three of them to strength the faith and to avoid of the umbrage of the cross and suffering of him. A part of that, the voice from heaven gave the authority to Christ, while the Father is saying; this is my Beloved Son, listen to him.
Today, like 2000 years ago, Jesus wants to take us in the Mountain of the Holy Eucharist, to give his power for our faith. During this Lent, this is his desire to renew us, to make us new people of Christian faith. As the Apostles, we are so often weak, full of fear and fragility. He wants to touch our spiritual wounds to heal us, and give hope, that faith makes sense in your life. He strengths us today, when we see a lot of people leaving faith and God in their own lives. He says, stay with me, even the world is changing upon your eyes. While you hear many voices, that life without moral values is better and simpler.
Christ tells us, stand by me, do not be ashamed of your faith, cross, suffering and difficulties. All these things are temporal, and they are the way to me and my grace.
Now, we experience the time of trial, our continent is not in peace, millions of people are suffering of fear of death in Ukraine, because of the war. Pope Francis has said last Sunday that the streams of tears and blood flow throughout Ukraine. But God indicates the power of prayer. Our Holy Mother said in Fatima, my children if you do penance and prayer, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.
St. Ignatius of Loyola, said, pray as everything would have depended on God, and let work, as everything would have depended on you.
We cannot lose hearts, but now, even more we need to pray a lot, the Kingdom of God will win under the Kingdom of darkness.
In one European Country (Poland), there are an action of people of good will. Christians contribute the scapulars and rosaries for the Ukrainian soldiers, to be protected by them. We have some information and testimony, the soldiers feel God’s protection, during the battle for their country.
Let us not lose our heart, but let’s pray, and God will strength the faith and give the peace in our times. Amen.
